What is Shangri-La Frontier?
Shangri-la Frontier is an exciting anime series based on a popular manga about a Trash gamer named Rakuro Hoshino. In this world, immersive virtual reality games have become incredibly popular, and Rakuro is known for being an expert at clearing notoriously difficult games that other players find impossible.
The story focuses on Rakuro’s adventures in a AAA virtual reality game called Shangri-la Frontier, which is unlike any game he’s played before. Unlike most gamers who stick to easy or mainstream games, Rakuro (Sunraku) seeks out the most challenging and broken games he can find. His goal is to completely master these seemingly unbeatable games, turning them inside out with his incredible gaming skills.
What makes the series unique is Rakuro’s unconventional approach to gaming. It turns the genre upside down. Sunarku doesn’t just play to win, but to understand and break down the game’s mechanics.
