What is Haikyu!?
Haikyu is a Japanese manga and anime series created by Haruichi Furudate. It follows the journey of Shoyo Hinata, a determined and energetic young boy who dreams of becoming a great volleyball player. Despite his small stature, Hinata possesses hops and a passion for the sport.
The story begins when Hinata joins his varsity volleyball team at Karasuno High where he meets Tobio Kageyama, a talented but cocky setter. Despite their differences, the two form an unlikely partnership and strive to lead Karasuno to victory in the competitive world of high school volleyball.
As Hinata and Kageyama overcome obstacles and face formidable opponents, they learn the value of teamwork, perseverance, and friendship. They meet a ton of character who develop throughout the series. It’s definitely one of my top sports-related animes.
