What is Kaiju No. 8?
Kaiju No. 8 is a relatively new manga series about giant monsters aka Kaiju. In the story, Japan is constantly attacked by huge Kaiju. To protect the country, there’s a group of people called the Defense Force who are trained to battle and destroy these monsters.
The main character, Kafka Hibino, always dreamed of joining the Defense Force. Instead, he works cleaning up the mess left behind after the Kaiju are defeated.
One day, Kafka’s life changes when he suddenly gains the power to transform into a Kaiju himself! Now, with his new abilities, he gets a second chance to fight for the Defense Force, but also faces challenges because of his Kaiju form.
Kaiju No. 8 is a thrilling story full of intense battles, fun characters, and big surprises. It’s a great read for fans of monster stories and anyone who enjoys rooting for an underdog who gets a shot at greatness!
